There has been alot of excitement in the air as the completion of ONEOK Field, new home to the Tulsa Drillers baseball team, has come to fruition. Approximately 40 days before the first game in the new stadium on April 8, 2010, Graebel Movers and The Facility Group teamed up to get the Drillers relocated from Expo Square to their new digs.
Having been at their old location since 1980, team President Chuck Lamson was faced with the daunting task of deciding what to take and what to leave behind to auction off.
Working with IFMA Tulsa member company, L&M Office Furniture, the Drillers were able to obtain alot of new furniture for the new ball park, but ended up taking the majority of office furniture they were currently using. Along with the office furniture, 20 years worth of boxes of merchandise, files and memories stored under the stands in various areas, The Facility Group assisted the Drillers with a plan to get all their belongings relocated to the office area, merchandise area, ticket office, storage areas and clubhouse areas that make up the lower level. The relocation took Graebel two days to complete, so needless to say, there was a lot furniture and other items to be relocated to the new stadium.
In honor of their involvement in the Drillers relocation project, Graebel and The Facility Group have teamed up to offer some special baseballs at the IFMA Tulsa May Event, a tour/luncheon/game at the new stadium. Attendees will received a baseball with IFMA Tulsa Chapter imprinted on it. The baseballs will be in a display cube so it can be displayed proudly at each IFMA member’s office.
