Phil Parish, Facilities Coordinator for Samson Investment Co. has become IFMA Tulsa’s first FMP.  The FMP (Facility Management Professional Program) is a knowledge based credential demonstrating a proven comprehension of the basics of facility management.

A springboard for obtaining certification, the FMP designation helps accelerate an FM’s transition to the profession.

To earn the FMP, there are four required courses to complete.  All courses are available online as well as at instructor-led classroom settings.  FMP candidates may customize their training by taking instructor-led courses, online courses or a combination of the two.  Once all the courses are completed, the candidate submits their FMP application online.  There is no exam, as is required to obtain the Certifiied Facility Manager (CFM) credential.  To learn more about the FMP designation, visit the IFMA web site at  www.ifma.org.

Congratulations to Phil for this accomplishment and for being IFMA Tulsa’s first FMP.
