For a number years the IFMA Tulsa chapter ceased to have a Christmas party. Resurrected last year, 18 members and guests attended a party hosted by Kelli Bailey and The Interiors Group. The party was so well received that the format was repeated for this year's party.
On December 13th, 35 members and guests attended this year's Christmas party held at the Ambassador Hotel. The main feature of this year's gathering was the presentation of a check for $3,150.00 to the Little Light House and their representative, Donna Harrington. Those proceeds were made possible by our 2000-2001 golf tournaments and all the hard work of Kelli Bailey, Ross Phippen, Robert Ashe and many others.
Instead of having a sit-down lunch for this occasion, we had a Roast Tenderloin Carving Station with a variety of appetizers. The food, as always, was delicious. The most popular feature of last year's party was the door prizes and this year's party featured a wide array of door prizes. Gift certificates were given out from Red Lobster, Charleston's, Outback, Olive Garden, Zio's, Blockbuster and AMC Cinemas. Two tickets to the Nutcracker were given away compliments of Pat Hanford and the Tulsa Ballet. Two tickets were also given away to Wonderama and the local production of Oliver featuring Jamie Farr of MASH fame. The grand prize was an overnight stay for two with breakfast compliments of the Ambassador Hotel.
No one, including our guests, left without a prize. A wonderful time was had by all and if you missed this year's party, please make sure you join us for what promises to be another great party next year.
