The fifth annual IFMA Tulsa chapter Christmas party moved to Zio’s this year. We had another great turnout with nearly 40 RSVP?s. The format for the luncheon was similar to the last year with a new twist in the prizes.
This year’s event once again featured a ?Dirty Santa? drawing. However, in the past, we gave away prizes other than gift certificates. This year, we went exclusively with gift certificates with most of them being for restaurants. Last year, the restaurant certificates proved to be very popular. In the past, we had purchased some wine and liquor as gifts. This year we decided to get some gift certificates to Parkhil’s Wine and Liquor. Last year the wine and liquor prizes were not as popular as the restaurant certificates. However, the Parkhill’s certificates were “stolen” back and forth as soon as someone had picked a bag containing one of them. I guess if you get to pick out what you want to drink, you are more likely to “steal” a liquor prize.
This year’s Program co-chairs were Trish Stokes and Tony Lenox. Once again, these guys went out and purchased gift certificates from all over the city. Thanks go to these folks for all their hard work! Others who contributed to rounding up gift certificates were Nikki Parmley and Brian Bennett.
Once again, the highlight of the luncheon was the presentation of a check for The Little Lighthouse. Another successful IFMA Tulsa Golf Tournament allowed for a donation of $4300.00. Jim Bodine was present as our guest to receive the check. Thanks go to Kelli Bailey and Tom Seifried, this year?s co-chairs of the golf tournament, as well as all those who volunteered and those who participated in the tournament, for another great, profitable tournament.
