IFMA Tulsa once again treated its' membership to a free lunch and gifts at the annual IFMA Tulsa Christmas party. The festivities were held once again at the Tulsa Country Club. Along with a great meal, each member received a gift valued at $25.00 or more.
In addition to lots of $25.00 gift cards from area restaurants and stores (Bass Pro Shop turned out to be a popular gift card), other gifts included some $50.00 bills, a portable DVD player, a coffee maker that uses Senseo pods and the grand prize, a $100.00 gift card to Mahogany's Steak House. There were lots of fun "steals" via the Dirty Santa Gift Exchange and everyone left with a gift card or another prize.
In addition to lunch and prizes, we also presented a check for $4,000.00 to The Little Light House from proceeds generated by our successful 2011 golf tournament. This year's Golf Chair was Johnny Onkst with Otis Elevator and the tournament was the most profitable and well attended in the history of the tournament. Many thanks to Johnny and his golf committee for another great tournament.
On hand to receive the donation for The Little Light House was Molly Smith. Molly replaced Jay Dee Brumbaugh who had attended a number of IFMA Tulsa functions in the past. Molly was very grateful for the chapter's donation and expressed her appreciation for our chapter's support of The Little Light House.
Thanks also go out to Program Chair Doug Martin for emceeing the meeting and overseeing the gift exchange. Thanks also go out to Jessica Robinson, Denise Thornton and Brian Bennett for rounding up the gift cards and assorted gifts from vendors all over town.
