IFMA Tulsa’s golf tournament at the Tulsa Country Club was to take place on Monday, October 14th, but was rained out for the first time in 19 years. The tournament was rescheduled for two weeks later and went off without a hitch. Thirty one teams signed up to play and sponsorships were pretty much sold out leading to another successful tournament.
As has been the case for many years, representatives from The Little Light House sold mulligans and collected around $500.00. Students from the IFMA Tulsa OSU student chapter traveled from Stillwater to work the games on the course and earned $800.00 for their chapter.
Winning first place in the tournament was a team from PCC Cleaning and Restoration. Second place went to Johnny Onkst’s Otis Elevator team. Third place went to the ABM Janitorial team and fourth place went to the team from Cimarex. Thomas Coffey won the Longest Drive contest sponsored by Trane and Gerry Grelle won the Closest to the Pin contest. Bill Aldrich’s team won the putting contest sponsored by Southwest Solutions and US Lawns.
A raffle was held and there were two winners. Toby Scrivner won the 50/50 pot totaling $530.00 and Ron Duca won a round of golf for four at The Tulsa Country Club.
Many thanks go out to all the sponsors and participants that made the tournament possible and a big thank you to Golf Chair Doug Padgett for all his hard work and efforts.
